2020 / OJO COFFEE COMPANY is a product design for a mock coffee brand. The concept was born from the playful notes my grandfather would leave around our home as a child. When writing these reminders he would create a caricature using the letters of the Spanish word ojo, which directly translates to eye, but in this context means “attention!”
The urgency of his character’s expression embodied the kick that Cuban coffee is notorious for. Paired with a tropical color palette, Ojo Coffee Company brings to life the parts of my family’s culture that I cherish the most.
