I was so stoked when Kris reached out about designing the artwork for his upcoming single Spend the Night Together. We met a few years prior at West Kendall Zine Fest and he was commissioning local artists to bring his vision for his album to life. Kris had already established an overarching visual theme for the record and wanted each single to feel like an extension of that concept.
We worked through two different designs before landing on the final one. The single was about unrequited love between exes, but my first pass looked too clean and connected for the track.

For the second version I leaned fully into all those feelings that had nowhere left to go. There's a subtle tension between the colors and textures that sometimes compliment each other, but never actually sit comfortably together.
It was such a great experience working with Kris and seeing how each artist interpreted their respective track on the album. I'm always grateful for the opportunity to work with other Miami artists and create something that feels like it belongs to us.
